Workshop
Interested in making your own piece of mosaic? During the course you will learn how to cut the tiles, how to adapt your design to a bigger surface and how to make your own mosaic. The first day includes an introduction to mosaic with a brief history about mosaic and explanation of different techniques, while during the rest of the course you will work on your own artwork with guidance of the instructor.

Course instructor
The 6 day course will be held by the famous Croatian artist Sergije Mihic, who has his own mosaic atelier in the nearby town of Knin. Sergije graduated from the Academy of Arts in 1966 in Zagreb. His artworks, including paintings and mosaics can be permanently visited in the Eufrasia Basilique in Porec and the fortress of Knin.

Materials
Basic materials such as tiles in two colours, concrete, paper, glue and a wooden underset (1m x 50cm ) are included as well as the use of special utensils. Marble tiles can be ordered at extra charge. At the end of the course you can bring your beautiful artwork home.

Price:
Mosaic course- six days: €130,- p.p. including materials and instructions. Hotel accommodation: see price list, course attendants obtain a discount of 10% on hotel accommodation. Single room use is charged 30% extra. Included are a welcome drink and during the course Hotel Kristina will provide you with free coffee and tea.
